Health benefits of making your own All Purpose cleaner

Making your own All Purpose cleaner has many benefits.

For starters, it helps eliminate toxins in your home. So many commercial brands of cleaning products contain harsh chemicals that can harm us. This is the single most important reason why I’ve become so passionate about making my own all natural products to use in my home.

Something about becoming a wife and mother just blossoms a desire inside of us to do the best we can to take care of our family. I’m here to say that investing in a pure essential oil company, worthy of your trust, has been a huge part of this process of all natural living.

Making your own essential oil cleaner saves you money!

Another big reason why making your own DIY All Purpose cleaner is beneficial is to be more frugal.

When I first quit my job, to stay home and prepare to be a stay at home mother, I was sort of forced into learning frugality. The things you learn to do because you have to sometimes benefit you long term.

For me, having a low budget made me seek ways I could save money to be able to still have that thing to use at home. A way I saved my family a ton of money was learning to make my own DIY products, such as All Purpose cleaner with Essential Oils.

Let’s take Lemon Oil for example, a 15 ml bottle as a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA costs $11. There are a couple hundred drops in each 15ml bottle. This recipe calls for 20 drops of Essential Oil. So, it’s costing you just pennies for the Essential Oil used to make this recipe one time.

Most DIY All Natural recipes utilize the same handful of ingredients. Once you stock up on those few things, you are able to make almost any replacement at home for cleaning and body care products.

What are Essential Oils?

Essential Oils are the powerful product of the distillation process. Each bottle contains its own chemical constituents, or a certain makeup. Some Essential Oils can even penetrate the cell wall, which is not something modern medicine can even accomplish.

The only essential oil Brand I use:

Choosing a brand of Essential Oils is imperative for success. I chose the brand, doTERRA, to use in my home. The reason for this is because of their promise for purity. Therefore, they are the only company I trust to be using in my home and on my family. I can attest to the amazing results we have experienced by using Essential Oils for prevention and ailments in our home.

I’d encourage you to do your research, including visiting their website, to learn more about this company and their products.

I will caution you and say this; you cannot just buy a random oil from the store and expect to get the same results I speak of. An Essential Oils purity is what makes it potent, powerful, and effective.

My absolute favorite Essential Oil for cleaning purposes

The great thing about Essential Oils is that, even the most basic ones are highly effective. They can be interchangeable if you do not have the exact oil, just use one with similar chemical constituents.

My absolute favorite Essential Oil I use for cleaning is, Lemon. It is one of the cheapest oils you can get because it is easier to source. The aroma it gives is such a breath of fresh air. You can also mix Lemon with other Essential Oils to enhance cleaning ability, depending on the surface you are cleaning. This simple, yet effective oil is one I use daily in my home.

  1. Hi Rachel. What size spray bottle do you use. Mine are 16 oz, and I can tell that one is a lot smaller!

    Thanks for the recipe.
